SheFly Recommends: Women-Owned Brands

SheFly Recommends: Women-Owned Brands

As we’ve built this brand, we’ve been so fortunate to meet and get inspired by so many other women-founded companies. To spread the entrepreneurial love, we put together a list of some of our current favorites that are creating products from the heart for the outdoor community.

WildBarn Coffee: Colorado’s favorite cold-brew.

Jenny and Alyssa, the founders of WildBarn, are just as adventurous as their canned cold-brew coffee. We love cracking open a can of their coffee in the morning to get us through busy mornings full of zoom calls and adventurous weekend hikes alike. By far the best coffee to drink while rafting a river or climbing a tree. It starts with a creamy sip through a frothy nitro head, followed by a whisper of superfood sweetness, and is summited by a brew that’s as smooth as the dickens. Five stars from us, WildBarn is guaranteed to keep you awake and be more fun than however else you're consuming caffeine.

Kulie Bags: Bicycle bags for every cyclist.

We were so excited that Kulie was a finalist for the Moosejaw Outdoor Industry Accelerator In Gunnison, CO! While we're sad we didn't get to know them better through the accelerator, we're excited to cross paths in the future. In the meantime, we'll be using our Kulie bags every time we head out mountain biking. With a European inspired design, these bags (including handlebar, saddle, trunk and commuter bags) inspire everyone to do more with their bikes.

Youer: Bold, colorful clothing from recycled fabric.

Mallory, the founder of Youer, has been a SheFly supporter from the early days! We've been inspired by her transparency and authenticity, and love how her personality shines through in her clothing lines. Youer celebrates each individual personality through its bold patterned clothing made from recycled bottles. Life isn't all about summits and traverses - it's about all the things we do every day - kicking butt at work, raising a family, fixing a flat, getting an extra hour of sleep, and LIVING.

Wild Brush: Gear as beautiful as the places you adventure.

If you're into durable gear featuring stunning paintings, check out Wild Brush (formerly Dirt Chalk Bags)  Woman-owned and operated, Wild Brush is based out of Hailey, ID. Every piece of gear is artfully handcrafted using high quality and sustainable materials to be functional, unapologetically wild, and downright gorgeous.

Power Provisions: Handcrafted goods from coast to crag.

We are the hugest fans of Gretchen Powers and the gorgeous handmade goods she makes at Powers Provisions with the help of her wife, Kaleigh Woods, and their dog Ella. Powers Provisions is a beautiful mercantile community highlighting the work of all kinds of artists and makers in addition to the core team. We're particular fans of Gretchen's hand-knit hats but also live the prints, postcards, and beaded rings inspired by the beauty and colors of nature.

Vela Apparel: Activewear with an adventurous spirit.

Created in Vail, Colorado by world traveling mountain spirits Elise and Matt, Vela makes gorgeous outdoor inspired clothing for the whole family. Their artistic hand-drawn designs are printed on sustainable fabrics and rooted in nature and meant to inspire adventure and mindfulness. Signature hoodies and pants combine the coziness of a fireside sweater with durable, outdoor performance wear.

Gunnibags: Handmade & recycled with lots of love.

We love recycled gear and small makers, which is why we love Gunnibags! Gunnibags are made from at least 75% retired climbing ropes, and repurposed textiles collected in and around Gunnison, Colorado. These materials can include anything from placemats to curtains, to old clothes. Because Gunnibags are made with collected items, no two Gunnibags will ever be the same. Each one is handcrafted by founder Veronica Wilde!
